What goes into every room we paint

Free estimate. We assess the space, check the real condition of the walls and explain what needs doing — scope, expected cost and timeline — before any work begins.
Work zone organization. Floors, furniture and belongings are covered and the work area stays under control, so the paint stays where it belongs — on the walls.
Patching. Nail holes, dents and cracks only get more visible under a fresh colour, so we repair visible defects before we paint.
Sanding. Repairs are levelled and rough spots smoothed — the step you won't notice while it's being done, but will the moment it's skipped.
Priming. A uniform base that seals repaired areas, so you see one even colour instead of every spot that was fixed underneath.
Two coats of paint. Fuller coverage, even colour and careful edges around corners, trim and baseboards — the difference between “painted” and “professionally finished”.

You choose how the space should feel. We handle what it takes to get there.

1
Free estimate. We visit, assess the walls and set out the scope, expected cost and timeline — so you decide knowing what the project involves, not halfway through it.
2
Preparation. Furniture, floors and belongings are covered; cracks, holes and visible defects are repaired before any new colour goes on.
3
Painting. Surfaces are primed and finished in two even coats, with close attention to corners, edges, trim and baseboards — the details that show first when a job is rushed.
4
Cleaning and walkthrough. Protective materials come off, the work area is cleared, and you inspect the finished space with your project lead — painted, clean and ready to use.

Interior painting questions, answered

How much does interior painting cost in Toronto?

We don't publish a flat rate because no two homes are alike. The price is driven by five things: the size of the space, wall condition (patching, cracks, old wallpaper), ceiling height, how much trim and door work there is, and the number of coats the colour change needs. We quote after a free on-site visit, and the written quote lists every room and surface, the total cost and the timeline — so you know exactly what you're paying for before any work begins. All interior work carries a 3-year workmanship warranty.

How long does it take to paint a room?

A standard room typically takes around 1–3 days, including preparation, wall repairs, priming and painting. The exact timeline depends on the size of the room, the condition of the walls and how much preparation is needed — we confirm it during the free estimate.

Do I need to be home while you paint?

No. Many clients leave us to work while they're at the office. Your project lead keeps you updated and walks the finished work with you.

Do I have to move my furniture?

No. You don't need to empty the room yourself. Our team protects furniture, flooring and belongings and prepares the work area before painting. If anything needs to be moved beforehand, we flag it during the estimate so you know in advance.

What paint do you use?

High-quality paints from established manufacturers. We recommend the product and finish based on the room and how it's used, and low-VOC options and different finishes are available. The goal isn't just a colour you like — it's a paint and finish that make sense for the room you live in every day.

Can you help me choose colours?

Yes. We bring colour and finish recommendations to the free visit, based on your lighting, your floors and the look you want.

What surfaces do you paint?

Walls, ceilings, trim, baseboards, doors and closets. Your quote lists exactly which surfaces are included, room by room.

Do you repair drywall before painting?

Yes. Nail holes, cracks, dents and damaged drywall are patched and sanded smooth before any paint goes on.

Can you remove popcorn ceilings too?

Yes. We remove popcorn ceilings and paint them in the same project, so you deal with one crew and one schedule. See how it works on our popcorn ceiling removal page, including asbestos testing for pre-1990 ceilings.

Do you paint condos?

Yes. We paint condos across Toronto and work within your building's rules, elevator bookings and quiet hours.

Are you insured?

Yes. UCO is WSIB registered and carries $5M in liability insurance, so your home and our crew are covered.

What areas do you serve?

Toronto and the whole GTA — including North York, Etobicoke, Scarborough, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Markham, Mississauga and Oakville. Not sure if you're in range? Call (416) 779-0055 and we'll tell you.
