Commercial Painting and Fluted Accent Wall in North York

The space: dated yellow walls and tired ceiling

This commercial space in North York has two large rooms on the lower level, with drop ceilings, tiled floors and long, plain walls. The walls were painted a dated cream-yellow, marked and scuffed from years of use, the ceiling tiles were stained and discoloured, and the rooms felt dim and tired.

New ceiling tiles

We replaced the old drop ceiling tiles with new bright white tiles, which instantly made the rooms cleaner and brighter under the same lights.

Interior painting

We protected the floors with paper and plastic, masked the tile baseboards and moved the furniture to the centre of the room. Then we patched the walls and painted them in a clean, bright white, which made the whole room feel bigger.

Fluted accent wall

In the second room we installed a grey fluted wall panel accent wall across the full length of one wall, from the tile base up to the ceiling grid, working around the door, outlets and intercom. We also mounted the TV bracket and a floating shelf on the new feature wall, so it is ready to use as the focal point of the room.

The result

A new white ceiling, fresh white walls and a modern slatted feature wall that turned a plain storage-looking basement into a clean, professional space.
