Damaged Fence Replaced After Insurance Claim in York
A painted red wood fence along a laneway in York, Toronto, smashed and knocked over at the corner. Working as an insurance repair, we tore out the damaged fence and built a brand-new wood privacy fence with a lattice top along the whole run.
The fence: smashed at the corner
This fence runs along a laneway behind a home in York, Toronto. The old fence, painted red, had been badly damaged: the corner section was smashed and pushed in, boards and frame were broken and hanging, and the run along the lane was leaning. The homeowner's insurance covered the repair, and UCO handled the job.
Removing the damaged fence
We took out the broken and leaning sections, cleared the old boards and framing and prepared the line for a new fence along the laneway and around the corner.
New wood privacy fence with lattice top
We built a brand-new wood privacy fence along the whole run: new posts, framing and vertical boards, with a decorative lattice top on every panel and post caps finishing the posts. The fence follows the slope of the laneway and turns the corner cleanly, giving the yard full privacy again.
The result
A strong, straight, brand-new fence that looks far better than the original, done as an insurance repair with no hassle for the homeowner.
