Bedroom and Hallway Carpet Replaced With LVP in Brampton

The floors: tired upstairs carpet

The second floor of this Brampton home had the same blue-grey carpet throughout the hallway and bedrooms. It was worn, stained in the traffic paths and dated, and it held onto dust in rooms the owners wanted to keep fresh and easy to clean.

Carpet removal

We took up the carpet, underpad and tack strips in the hallway and bedrooms, then cleaned and checked the subfloor so the new floor would sit flat and quiet.

Luxury vinyl plank (LVP) flooring

We installed wood-look luxury vinyl plank flooring through the hallway and into each bedroom, running the planks the length of the hallway so the space looks longer and brighter. LVP is waterproof, scratch-resistant and warm underfoot, which makes it a great carpet replacement for bedrooms. The baseboards were reinstalled along every wall for a clean finished edge, and doorways were trimmed so the doors open freely over the new floor.

The result
